  • The Importance of AI Literacy for Teachers and Students

    As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly ubiquitous in our daily lives, teachers must invent ways to improve AI literacy for their students...and their fellow educators. Tom Hammond, associate professor and program director for Teaching, Learning and Technology (TLT), says prioritizing human intelligence, the “human in the loop,” is key to reaping the benefits of AI technology and minimizing the risks of erroneous results.

  • Levin Presents Research on At-Risk Students

    Kimberly Levin will present, "Using Dropout Predictors to Identify At-Risk Students," at the 2025 CIU 20 Literacy Symposium on June 10 at DeSales University. Her presentation includes findings from her dissertation and the application of those findings to the secondary Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) model used within her school district.

  • Sandilos Selected for 2025 Class of '61 Professorship

    Lia Sandilos, an associate professor in the School Psychology program, has been selected for the 2025 Class of '61 Professorship for the College of Education. This award recognizes faculty members who have achieved the rank of associate professor and have shown distinction in teaching, research and service.
